Becci Twombley, RD, CSSD

 

 

Becci Twombley has been Director of Sports Nutrition at USC since 2012. Becci leads a team of three sports-registered dietitians (RDs) that coach nutrition to the 650 athletes who comprise the Trojan family. Becci Twombley began the sports nutrition department for the USC Trojans in 2012. USC’s cutting edge fueling has expanded over the last 3 years to become one of a few Universities that are able to feed all of their athletes regardless of sport or scholarship status. Becci also serves as the sports nutrition consultant to the Los Angeles Angels Major League Baseball team. In 2009, Becci became one of five founding Board Members of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA), an organization created to serve as the expert voice in sports nutrition. Becci is also a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), as well as the Sports and Cardiovascular Nutritionists (SCAN), a practice group of AND. She has been a Registered Dietitian since 2003 and a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics since 2008. Becci is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine. Becci believes nutrition is an essential part of training, therefore tailors diets to meet the individual needs of her athletes based on their role on the team, position, goals and time of season. Her mission is to fuel every cell in the athletes’ body so that training is more efficient, career longevity is maximized, and performance is optimized.
